Told ya!!!

I went on and on about how AWESOME my sister Zenica was back in April and now I have PROOF!!! I did her a favor and babysat her kids for about a month just to help her out and this is the beauty she surprised me with! I am so IN LOVE with this apron, words cannot even begin to describe how I feel about it! I love aprons anyway but this one is reversible and irreplaceable! She is an amazing seamstress. Every stitch she did, was different so it just ads to the greatness of it. I guess she didn't think a totally awesome apron was enough, so she scrap booked an entire recipe book for me too! You are awesome Nica, I love you!!!!

This is a typical sight around our house. You can usually catch Tadlet with a glass of milk. When I was younger, after playing outside I would love to run in the house and drink a huge glass of cold milk. I guess I was always drinking milk, now that I think of it. My family thought I was disgusting but I loved it and I have never broke a bone, knock on wood! This little man takes after me, he has a great love for milk! I think it is getting time to buy a cow to keep up with him!

Last weekend I went to Duncan and I came home to this beauty! I instantly thought of the John Wayne movie, " The man who shot Liberty Valance."  If you have seen the movie, it makes sense. It has become one of my favorite over the years. I am not a fan of cactus but to have one in my yard, it makes me feel like I have a little bit of Duncan and the desert up here in the mountains with me. Makes me not miss it so much.

Two of a kind

Most of the time the boys could care less about what Joe looks at on the computer but lately he has been on a crazy man hunt looking for a tractor so that our little piece of land doesn't go to waste! Darrell, who doesn't exactly like to sit for more than five minutes will spend hours on the computer with Joe giving his two cents about which one he wants cause," He is going to be the one driving it anyway!" His words! I love how BOYish him and Tad are. They have always loved to be outside with their dad working on trailers or welding or riding on the roto tiller or riding a tractor. I especially love the fact that Joe takes the time to teach them to be boys and to work and how important being a hard worker is and it always tugs at my heartstrings when I catch little moments like this!

SUPERSTAR!!!

Darrell had his end of school program yesterday and it was so much fun to watch! They did a twist on Nursery Rhymes and it turned out so cute and wouldn't you know it, Darrell had a little solo that he forgot to tell me about so the quality of the video isn't great, sorry, it's taken with my phone! He begged me all morning to let him stay home from school so he didn't have to sing and dance in front of people. He was so embarrassed. Especially having to dance with a girl! That about sent him over the top. Anyway, I got him there and he did an amazing job! Mama's proud of you Goob!!!

He got to say a cute little poem too with another little boy in his class. It went like this;

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
to bad they didn't have super glue then,
They could have put Humpty together again!

I was feeling crafty!

I wish I was a craftier person more. I really enjoy it when I do it, it is just getting me to do it!!! I got sick of looking at my bland ol' brown plain wood blah knife block so I decided to spruce it up a bit!!! I love it so much now, it fits my personality!!!

This month is such a special one . . .

It's Birthday time for you! I think that is one of my favorite birthday songs from primary. Since I have been slacking with the blog, I have missed wishing a few people happy birthday!

My April Fool!!!
I love that Joe has always been an awesome provider for our family. He works hard to make sure we are always taken care of. He is a great dad that works hard to teach our boys to be upstanding hard working and trustworthy young men. He takes me HUNTING!!! What is more awesome than that!!! I can count on one hand the number of men that are willing to take their wives hunting with them! Thanks for all you do!
I LOVE YOU HONEY BUNS!!!

I admire Joes mom Vada. She is such a talented, strong, reliable, hard working woman! She has raised five amazing children that have all stayed strong in the gospel. She is a great grandma and my children absolutely love going to her house to spend time with her and grandpa. We hope you had a great birthday, Love you tons!!!

If you know my sister Zenica, you know that she is AWESOME! She has the ability to make you laugh with her serious dancing skills and silly personality. The first time I plucked my "caterpillars" she decided to do it for me! Thanks for the painful memory! Ha ha ha she has always been a great friend to me and has always let me tag along. Thanks for all the fun times!
I LOVE YA MAN!!!
I hope you all had a very happy birthday!!!

We got drawn!!!!

Joe and I both got drawn for a "Trophy Cow Elk" hunt! That is what we call. ha ha ha I am so so so stoked!!! IT WILL go better than our deer hunts! Hopefully we are both successful in harvesting an elk and putting meat in our freezer! I am excited for the experience! We put in for both archery and rifle and got drawn for the September rifle hunt.

The last month has been crazy and hectic and I haven't taken the five minutes to post what I should have. My little brother Blake was in a motorcycle accident the day after Valentines Day that should have taken his life. He tore his aorta and blood vessels to his kidneys and collapsed his lung. He lost a lot of blood was in pretty bad shape. They had him sedated in the ICU for almost three weeks, letting everything heal. They told us that after he woke up he would have to go to physical therapy for about three weeks. They had to do a tracheotomy cause they can only leave a ventilation tube in for so long so they put his trache in after about two and a half weeks and let him wake up from the surgery. After he woke up he was moved out of ICU and into a regular room where they estimated he would be for a couple of weeks before heading off to physical therapy for three more weeks. He told my mom and dad he would be out of the hospital completely, no physical therapy in a week and sure enough he was out within less than a week. These past six weeks my family has witnessed miracles and felt comfort and peace from our Father in Heaven and everyone around us! It has increased my faith and testimony in prayer and reassured me of the love my Heavenly Father has for me and my family. I am so grateful Blake has made it through this and he is here with us! We love him to pieces. Dang kid got out of the hospital on a Saturday and made my parents take him to church the next day. What a strong spirit he has! He came home with my parents that Monday stayed a week and went back home. Went to the doctors Tuesday and was back in school and work by Wednesday! I am glad he is getting stronger and doing great! We Love ya Blakers!!!
